2008 PDGA Disc Golf Professional and Amateur World Championships presented by Bells Brewery in the southwestern Michigan cities of Battle Creek and Kalamazoo, August 8-16, 2008.
Over 850 competitors has registered from all around the world for the tournament which will be the second largest world championship tournament in the history of disc golf.

07/20/2008 Jesper Lundmark won Disc Golf Scandinavian Open 2008
Skellefteå local Jesper Lundmark played outstanding disc golf all the way from the very first hole of the Scandinavian Open 2008 tournament. Lundmark scored an eagle on the first hole of the first round. After that it seems that it was ment to be his victory. Lundmarks first round score 55, 11 under par was the best round of the whole tournament.
Congratulations to Jesper Lundmark a proud member of team Innova Star Europe and team Discmania.
At the end Dave Feldberg and Nathan Doss were tied for second place 8 strokes off Lundmarks victory.
As usual Avery Jenkins never gave up and battled all the way to the end. Avery Jenkins finished fourth.
Christian Sandström and Jussi Meresmaa tied for fifth place.

Jesper Lundmark, Sweden keeps shooting low scores in Scandinavian Open 2008. Lundmarks third round score 60, six under par gave him a four stroke cussion before the final round of the tournament. After three rounds Lundmarks score is 173, -25 under par.
Reigning PDGA world champion Nathan Doss scored 60 on the third round and he caught up Dave Feldbergs 2 stroke lead. Doss and Feldberg are tied for second place with a score 177, -21 under par.
Jussi Meresmaa scored 58 which was todays best round of the tournament. Meresmaa is on fourth place with a score 182, -16 under par. >> Valarie Jenkins is cruising for the victory
Valarie Jenkins, USA has a save six stroke lead before the final round. Jenkins sits at 205, seven over par. Swedens top female player Birgitta Lagerholm is on second place 211, 13 over par. In Masters division Jonas Lindholm, Sweden leads the tournament with a score 193, -5 under par. Peter Bygde holds second place three shots behind Lindholm. Dan Johansson, Sweden is on third place 202, 4 over par and Terry Roddy, USA and Kari Vesala, Finland are tied for fourth place before the final round with a score 205, seven over par. >>tournament results
07/18/2008 PDGA Major / Scandinavian Open 2008 / day 2
Skellefteå local Jesper Lundmark continued his strong game and carded 58 on the second round. Lundmarks total score midway trough the tournament is 113, -19 under par. Dave Feldberg played second round with 57 shots and came one stroke closer to tournament leader with a total score of 115, -17 under par.
Nathan Doss scored the hottest round 56 of today and made a move to the third place with a total score of 117, -15 under par. 2008 distance world champion Jussi Meresmaa, Finland has played solid disc golf. 62+62 gives him the fourh place in the leaderboard with a total score 124, -8 under par.

The first ever PDGA Major in Sweden started today with the first round. Local star Jesper Lundmark shot an amazing 55, 11 under par on the first round. Three strokes behind Lundmark is worlds #1 rated player Dave Feldberg from Springfield, Oregon, USA. Jesper Lundmark is the top PDGA rated European disc golfer. Disc golf legend Ken Climo played the first round of the Scandinavian Open with a score of 66 which is course par. Mr. Climo is tied for 18th place. Touring Pro Avery Jenkins scored 65, one under par and he is tied for 14th place.
Up and coming young Finnish player Arttu Sikanen shot 61, 5 under par. He played in the same group with Climo. Sikanen qualified for the USDGC 2008 tournament couple weeks ago at Tali Open in Helsinki, Finland. Professional disc golfer Nathan Doss from Capitola, California won the overall title in open division in World Disc Games 2008.
Womens world distance record holder Valarie Jenkins from Ohio won womens overall title.

Discmania is releasing a new golf disc, the Power Driver. PD is fast and stable driver which is very resistant to the wind. PD has a good glide and it's useful for sidearms, for stable power shots, and long flex shots for experienced players. Lighter weights, especially 150 class, are recommended for less experienced players.

06/10/2008 Jalle Stoor won the second leg of the PDGA Finnish national tour
PDGA Rookie of the year nominee, Jalle Stoor, won the second tournament of PDGA Finnish national disc golf championship tour. Winner of the first leg, Joonas Hynönen and Stoor were tied after the final round and they went to playoff.

Juho Parvianen, distance world championship 2008 silver medalist placed second in and Finnish junior star, PDGA rookie of the year nominee, Jalle Stoor placed third. PDGA US National Tour / Greater Tulsa Open 2008 The PDGA US National Tour continues this weekend in Tulsa, Oklaholma with the Greater Tulsa Open tournament. Big stars such as David Feldberg, Avery Jenkins, Coda Hatfield, and Kevin McCoy amongst other great disc golfers like a young gun from Texas Robbie Bratten will test their skills in one of the premier disc golf locations in the USA.

Swedish national disc golf champioship tour 2008 started with Göteborg Open tournament. Over 100 top Swedish disc golfers gathered together to play a challenging 21-hole tournament course.
Markus Källström won Open division by one stroke ahead of Anders Swärd. Local player Karl Arnby placed third.

Steve Rico from Sylmar, CA, USA won Steady Ed Memorial Masters Cup in Santa Cruz, California.
Tournament was the third event of the 2008 PDGA US National Tour.
Avery Jenkins and Steve Rico were tied for first place after three rounds and they went to play off to battle it out. Rico won the play off.
David Feldberg placed third, Nathan Doss fourth and Ken Climo finished fifth. In the women's division Valarie Jenkins won by two strokes ahead of Carrie Berlogar. Dave Feldberg won WellWare Copenhagen Open
Dave Feldberg from Oregon, USA won WellWare Copenhagen Open EuroTour tournament. Local player Karl Johan Høj Nybo finished second and last years Copenhagen Open champion Timo Pursio, Finland finished third. Congratulations! WellWare Copenhagen Open was a showcase of Mr. Feldbergs skills as he carded top scores two rounds out of three. First round 51, -11 under par and third round 50, -12 under par was just too much for the rest of the field to deal with. Total score 210, -38 under par secured the victory with six strokes before local Karl Johan Høj Nybo.

On the third round Anne Matilainen scored the hottest score in womens competition 63, +1 over par. She cruised past the Swedes Lydie Hellgren and Angelica Frantz and secured the victory in the final nine by two strokes before Hellgren with a score 241, +23 over par. In the middle Anne Matilainen, Finland winner of the 2008 WellWare Copenhagen Open. On the right hand side Timo Pursio, Finland and on left Anders Swärd, Sweden.They all represented team Europe in 2007 President's Cup. >> Dan Johansson, Sweden won Masters division.
Dan Johansson won masters division by eight strokes with a score 200, -18 under par. Second place went to Germany as Robert Delisle shot a total score 208, -10 under par. Christer Köhler from Sweden finished third.

PDGA EuroTour 2008 / WellWare Copenhagen Open 04/26-27 >> Dave Feldberg, USA VS Timo Pursio, Finland The PDGA EuroTour continues this coming weekend as the WellWare Copenhagen Open will take place in Valbyparken, Denmark. Last years champion Timo Pursio will face a fierce competitor from USA, 2005 USDGC Champion, 2006 European Open Champion and 2007 Players Cup Champion Mr. Dave Feldberg from Oregon, USA.
Feldberg had a great start for his 2008 season as he won the Memorial in Scottsdale, Arizona. Mr. Pursio is the all time best disc golfer from Finland and 2006 European Open runner up just behind Feldberg. Wellware Copenhagen open will start Pursio's 2008 international disc golf season.
The WellWare Copenhagen Open will start on saturday morning and these fellows will battle it out all the way from the very first hole as they start in the same group and play hole #14 as their first hole. The second event of the 2008 PDGA US National Tour >> Barry Schultz won the Bowling Green Open Mr. Schultz won the second tornament of PDGA US National Tour with a score 213, -30 under par, by four strokes over Eric Mccabe 217, -26 under par. David Feldberg, winner of the Memorial, the first PDGA US National tour event in 2008, finished third with a score 218, -25 under par. After two tournaments Mr. Schultz leads the 2008 PDGA US National Tour with one victory and one second place.
In the womens division Valarie Jenkins won two with a score 245, +2 over par. Second place went to Des Reading 247, +4 over par, and Carrie Berlogar 253, +10 over par finished third.
